What is Kidlink?
Kidlink is a playgroup
created to bring together parents with young
children, and to encourage the exchange of
information and support among members.
Kidlink is run by a strictly volunteer
board, elected through the membership on a
yearly basis.
Who can join?
Although open to all, we most likely
appeal to any family whose youngest
child is in Kindergarten or younger.
Although the membership varies from year
to year, we had 50 member families at
the end of 2005.
What
communities do you include?
Most of the parks and
activities enjoyed by Kidlink are located in
North County, San Diego. However, locations for some field
trips and special activities may vary.
How much does it cost?
Annual dues are $35 per
family based on a calendar year (Jan. 1 -
Dec. 31.) Dues are prorated only for
families joining on or after July 1st. These
families pay $20 which entitles them
membership through December 31st of the same
year. Dues are not refundable.

How is it run?
Kidlink offers a wide
selection of activities to member families
each month. Activities are planned by the
board at a monthly board meeting. All
members are invited to attend these
meetings, and new ideas and suggestions are
always welcome.
Kidlink is run completely by member
volunteers. All new and renewing members are
required to complete a Kidlink questionnaire
as part of the membership process.
Volunteering is essential to Kidlink's
success. Whether you volunteer to do
something as simple as bake cookies for one
of the Kidlink functions or decide to become
more involved and actually help plan one of
the parties, there are many opportunities
for you to become as involved as your time
and desire allows. Volunteering is a fun and
rewarding way for us to meet other members,
make lasting friendships and really make a
difference in the lives of our children.
To its dedicated members, Kidlink is so much
more than just a playgroup. We invite you to
become a part of Kidlink and join us in a
wonderful year of fun activities and
friendships for the entire family. |
